A German town has scrapped all traffic lights and road signs in a bid to make the streets safer.
Officials believe removing the signs forces drivers to take extra care and show each other more consideration.
The radical experiment appears to be working as there has not been a single reported accident in the four weeks since the signs were ripped up.

U.S. Congress has a loophole in a bill that is using American taxpayers’ money to help pay for biodiesel being shipped overseas to Europe. Have your heard of the “Splash and Dash” program? The United States was accused of dumping subsidized biodiesel back in October of 2007. In 2007 this subsidy cost the American taxpayer $300 million, and it’s projected to cost the American taxpayers $600 million in 2008.

Perhaps the most famous example of a “nudge” is at Schiphol Airport in Holland. Managers were fed up with the state of the gents. Men were none too accurate in their aim. Warnings and signs did no good so designers tried a “nudge”.
A black fly was etched into the porcelain of each urinal – something to aim at. Spillages were reduced 80%.
