Lucian Freud’s one-time muse was paid 20 a day and taken for lovely lunches, she told the BBC, as a painting of her looks set to sell for over 17m.
The 1995 work, Benefits Supervisor Sleeping, is expected to become the most expensive painting by a living artist when it is auctioned next month.
