“A soldier home on leave after being injured in Afghanistan was refused a room by a hotel when he showed his military ID card at reception.

Corporal Tomos Stringer, 23, from Gwynedd, was visiting a wounded colleague in Surrey when he was turned away from the Metro Hotel in Woking. ”

I think it’s a disgraceful way to treat the military regardless of your opinion of the occupation in Iraq & Afghanistan or of squaddies in general.

Bullard suffered a career-threatening knee injury in September 2006 and only returned to action in January 2008.

“To finally get the call is a dream come true, a great honour and a bit surreal,” Bullard, 29, told BBC 5 Live.”

Fox has said it will seek an injunction blocking Warner’s planned release of the film next March. Warner has argued that Fox should not be allowed to stop the movie, after standing by while Warner and its partners on the film, Paramount Pictures and Legendary Pictures, spent more than $100 million on the production.
